The international machinery and technology fair for the food sector, Alimentaria FoodTech 2023, has just concluded. The event took place from September 26th to 29th at the Gran Vía venue in Barcelona, pavilion 2.
We are delighted to see that the food processing, preservation, and packaging sector is experiencing a good moment, as demonstrated by the data.
In just 4 days, the following numbers were recorded:
- 15,800 visitors from over 30 countries
- 360 exhibitors from 20 countries
- 125 presentations
- 70 activities
It is evident that this space serves as a meeting point for visitors, exhibitors, institutions, and associations from different parts of the world. This edition featured exhibitions, presentations, award ceremonies, and an exchange of ideas about the reality of the sector.
What innovations stood out during this edition? Among other things, we highlight the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on packaging, digitalization, and the sustainability of production processes.
Given the success of the event, preparations are already underway for the next fair, which will take place from October 6th to 9th, 2026.
